This Strawberry Iced Tea is a refreshing blend of brewed black tea, fresh strawberries, and a splash of lemon, making it the perfect thirst-quencher for warm days. Sweet and tangy, it’s easy to prepare and can be customized to your taste. Enjoy it over ice, garnished with mint for a delightful summer drink!

- 4 cups of water
- 4 black tea bags (or your favorite tea)
- 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the 4 tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, adjusting steeping time for desired strength.
- Remove tea bags and stir in sugar while the tea is warm to ensure it dissolves completely. Adjust sugar to taste.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Rinse 1 cup of fresh strawberries under cold water.
- Hull the strawberries and slice them in half or quarters.
- Mash half of the sliced strawberries in a small bowl to release their juices.
- Combine the mashed strawberries with the remaining sliced strawberries and set aside.
- Once the tea is chilled, add 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Stir in the strawberry mixture, ensuring the juices are well distributed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the strawberry iced tea over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon, if desired. Add whole strawberries for decoration.
- Store any leftover tea in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Stir before serving again, and dilute with cold water or lemon juice if it has become too sweet.
