A refreshing Watermelon Margarita, perfect for summer! Made with fresh watermelon puree, tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice.

- 6 cups cubed seedless watermelon, plus extra for garnish
- 1 cup tequila blanco (silver)
- ½ cup Cointreau or other orange liqueur
- ½ cup fresh lime juice, plus extra for rimming glasses
- ¼ cup agave nectar, or to taste
- Ice
- Coarse salt or sugar, for rimming glasses (optional)
- Lime wedges, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Watermelon Puree: Cube the watermelon and blend until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve for the smoothest result (optional but recommended). Discard solids.
- Mix Margarita: In a large pitcher, combine watermelon puree, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and agave nectar. Stir well.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste and add more agave nectar if needed.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or longer).
- Prepare Glasses (Optional): Rim glasses with salt or sugar.
- Add Ice: Fill glasses with ice.
- Pour and Garnish: Stir the margarita mixture and pour into prepared glasses. Garnish with watermelon and lime wedges.
- Serve Immediately: Enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicy margarita, add jalapeño slices to the watermelon while blending.
- For a frozen margarita, blend all ingredients with 2 cups of ice.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and Cointreau.
- Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
