Instructions
- Select a ripe pineapple with a sweet aroma, vibrant color, and fresh green leaves.
- Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple to create a stable base.
- Stand the pineapple upright and slice off the skin, removing all the eyes.
- Cut the pineapple into quarters lengthwise and remove the core from each quarter.
- Chop the pineapple flesh into smaller chunks.
- Place the chopped pineapple into a blender. Add sugar if desired.
- If you prefer a thinner juice, add 1 cup of cold water to the blender.
- Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until smooth. Adjust consistency with more water if needed.
- Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or pitcher.
- Pour the blended mixture into the strainer and press down to extract juice.
- Discard the pulp or save it for other uses.
- Taste the juice and add more sugar if needed, stirring until dissolved.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch.
- Store leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
