  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2-4 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy a refreshing tropical treat with this creamy Pina Colada Milkshake, blending vanilla ice cream, coconut milk, and fresh pineapple for a taste of paradise. Perfect for warm days, it’s topped with whipped cream and garnished with cherries and pineapple slices for an extra touch of indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (toasted, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
  • Fresh pineapple slices (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, add the 2 cups of vanilla ice cream.
  2. Pour in 1 cup of coconut milk.
  3. Add 1 cup of pineapple juice.
  4. Peel and slice the ripe banana, then toss it into the blender.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple (drained).
  6. If desired, add 1/4 cup of shredded coconut (toasted for extra flavor).
  7. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar (adjust to taste).
  8. Finally, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  9. Secure the lid on your blender tightly.
  10. Start blending on low speed, then gradually increase to high speed. Blend until smooth and creamy (about 30 seconds to 1 minute).
  11. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula. Blend again for a few seconds if needed.
  12. Taste the milkshake and add more sugar if desired, then blend again.
  13. Grab your favorite tall glasses or milkshake cups.
  14. Pour the milkshake into the glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
  15. Top each milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  16. Sprinkle some toasted shredded coconut on top of the whipped cream (optional).
  17. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and, if desired, a slice of fresh pineapple on the rim of the glass.

Notes

  • For a thicker milkshake, add more ice cream or reduce the amount of coconut milk.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your preference.
  • This milkshake pairs wonderfully with tropical snacks like coconut macaroons or fruit skewers.
