- 2 ounces Sparkling Water or Club Soda (chilled)
- Grapefruit Wedge or Lime Wheel (for garnish)
- Salt (for rimming the glass, optional)

Instructions
- (Optional) Prepare the Glass: If desired, salt the rim of a glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in salt. Fill the glass with ice.
- Combine Ingredients: In the prepared glass (or a shaker), combine grapefruit soda, lime juice, and agave nectar (or simple syrup).
- Stir: Stir gently to combine.
- Add Sparkling Water: Top with sparkling water or club soda.
- Garnish: Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or lime wheel.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Sweetness: Adjust the agave nectar or simple syrup to your liking.
- Citrus: Experiment with other citrus fruits like orange or lemon.
- Spice: Add a few slices of jalapeño for a spicy kick.
- Batch: Make a batch ahead of time by combining grapefruit soda, lime juice, and agave nectar in a pitcher. Add sparkling water just before serving.
- Flavored Sparkling Water: Use flavored sparkling waters for a unique twist.
- Muddled Fruit: Muddle fresh fruit like strawberries or raspberries for added flavor.
- Herbs: Add fresh herbs like mint or rosemary for a refreshing touch.
- Float: Add a scoop of grapefruit sorbet or sherbet for a fun twist.
- Sugar Rim: Rim the glass with sugar instead of salt for a sweeter Paloma.
- Different Salts: Experiment with different types of salt for the rim, such as smoked salt or chili salt.
- Layered Drink: Layer the ingredients in the glass for a visually stunning Paloma.
- Sugar Alternative: Use a sugar-free simple syrup or a natural sweetener like stevia or monk fruit.
- Infused Simple Syrup: Infuse your simple syrup with herbs, spices, or fruit for a more complex flavor.
- Grapefruit Juice Ice Cubes: Freeze grapefruit juice into ice cubes to prevent your drink from getting watered down.
- High-Quality Grapefruit Soda: Use a high-quality grapefruit soda made with real grapefruit juice and without artificial sweeteners or flavors.
- Chill Ingredients: Chill all of your ingredients to keep your Paloma cold and refreshing.
- Don’t Overstir: Overstirring can cause the grapefruit soda to lose its carbonation. Stir gently just until the ingredients are combined.
- Serve Immediately: Palomas are best served immediately after they are made.
