- 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar, or to taste (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
- Prepare the Melons: Wash watermelon and cantaloupe. Cut in half, remove seeds, and cube into roughly 1-inch pieces.
- Blend: Add cubed watermelon and cantaloupe to a blender (in batches if needed).
- Add Liquids: Pour in 2 cups of water and 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice.
- Sweeten (Optional): Add 2 tablespoons of honey or agave nectar, or to taste.
- Add Salt: Add a pinch of salt.
- Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid and blend on high speed until completely smooth (1-2 minutes). Scrape down sides if needed.
- Adjust Sweetness and Tartness: Taste and add more honey/agave for sweetness or lime juice for tartness.
- Adjust Consistency: If too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Strain (Optional): For a smoother texture, strain through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
- Chill: Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until cold.
- Serve: Stir well before serving. Fill glasses with ice, pour melon water over ice.
- Garnish (Optional): Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and lime wedges.

- Melon Variations: Use honeydew, crenshaw, or other melons.
- Fruit Additions: Add strawberries, raspberries, or pineapple for extra flavor.
- Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of chili powder or a small piece of jalapeño.
- Herb Infusion: Add basil or cilantro leaves to the blender.
- Boozy Version: Add a shot of tequila or vodka to each glass.
- Frozen Treat: Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.
- Sparkling: Top with sparkling water or club soda.
- Make Ahead: Can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Stir well before serving.
