  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente (7-8 minutes). Stir occasionally.
  3. Drain the macaroni and rinse briefly under cold water. Set aside.
  4. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
  6. Gradually add the whole milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until smooth and thickened (about 5-7 minutes).
  7. Reduce heat to low, add the shredded cheddar and Gruyère cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  8. Stir in the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Gently fold in the cooked lobster meat.
  10. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained macaroni with the cheese sauce, folding gently to coat.
  11. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with olive oil until coated.
  13. Grease a large baking dish (about 3-quart size).
  14. Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  15. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top.
  16. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
