Description

A quick and easy Lazy Cheese Ravioli Lasagna that layers cheesy goodness with marinara sauce and ravioli for a comforting meal, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (9 oz) of refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, dried Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Set the cheese mixture aside.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Place a single layer of cheese ravioli over the sauce (about half of the package).
  6. Dollop half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the ravioli and spread it out gently.
  7. Sprinkle half a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.
  8. Pour another layer of marinara sauce over the mozzarella.
  9. Repeat the layering process: another layer of ravioli, the remaining ricotta mixture, more mozzarella, and another layer of marinara sauce.
  10. For the final layer, place the last of the ravioli on top, cover it with the remaining marinara sauce, and finish with a sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  13. Carefully remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  14. Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
  15. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
