Hawaiian POG Juice: A Tropical Taste of Paradise

  • Total Time: 120 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make tropical juice blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava. Perfect for a taste of the islands!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups passion fruit juice (100% juice, not concentrate)
  • 6 cups orange juice (freshly squeezed is best, but good quality store-bought works too)
  • 3 cups guava nectar (look for a thick, pulpy nectar for the best flavor)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup lime juice (for a little extra zing)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Optional garnish: Orange slices, pineapple wedges, or guava slices

Instructions

  1. Measure the Passion Fruit Juice: In a large pitcher, pour in 6 cups of passion fruit juice.
  2. Add the Orange Juice: Add 6 cups of orange juice to the pitcher.
  3. Incorporate the Guava Nectar: Pour in 3 cups of guava nectar.
  4. Optional Lime Juice: If desired, add 1/4 cup of lime juice.
  5. Stir Well: Use a large spoon or whisk to thoroughly combine all the ingredients.
  6. Chill: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  7. Prepare Your Glasses: Grab your favorite glasses. Tall glasses or mason jars work great for POG.
  8. Add Ice: Fill each glass with ice cubes.
  9. Pour the POG: Pour the chilled POG juice over the ice.
  10. Garnish (Optional): If you want to get fancy, garnish your POG with orange slices, pineapple wedges, or guava slices.
  11. Serve Immediately: Serve your POG juice immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use high-quality juices for the best flavor.
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice is preferred, but good quality store-bought works too.
  • Guava nectar is thicker and has a more concentrated guava flavor than guava juice.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing guava nectar or adding simple syrup/honey.
  • Make it sparkling by topping with sparkling water or club soda.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • For a POG smoothie, blend with frozen fruit like mango, pineapple, or banana.
  • For POG popsicles, pour into molds and freeze.
  • POG juice makes a great mixer for cocktails.
