  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Harissa Glazed Salmon features a perfect blend of spicy harissa, sweet honey, and zesty lemon, creating a deliciously roasted dish. Quick and easy to prepare, it’s an ideal meal that pairs beautifully with a variety of sides.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the harissa paste, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended. The mixture should be smooth and slightly thick.
  3. Taste the glaze and season with salt and pepper according to your preference. If you like it spicier, feel free to add more harissa.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  6. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  7. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down, spaced evenly.
  8. Using a brush or the back of a spoon, generously coat each salmon fillet with the harissa glaze.
  9. Reserve a small amount of the glaze for basting later, if desired.
  10. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the salmon for about 12-15 minutes.
  11. Halfway through, baste the salmon with the reserved glaze for extra flavor.
  12. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  13. Once cooked, let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes.
  14. Transfer the salmon fillets to a serving platter.
  15. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with sides like couscous salad, roasted vegetables, or quinoa.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
  • For a milder glaze, reduce the harissa or mix it with yogurt.
