Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, diced into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup of green beans, trimmed
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Aluminum foil (enough for 4 packs)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, dried rosemary, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Add the cubed sirloin steak and toss to coat. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Wash and dice the potatoes into 1-inch pieces. Trim the ends of the green beans and set aside.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F) or your oven to 400°F. Tear off four large pieces of aluminum foil, about 12 inches long. Place an equal amount of diced potatoes in the center of each piece of foil, followed by a portion of the marinated steak, and then a handful of green beans.
- Drizzle a little extra olive oil over the top of the ingredients in each pack. Season with additional salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of rosemary and thyme. Fold the sides of the aluminum foil over the ingredients to create a sealed packet.
- Place the foil packs on the grill grates or on a baking sheet if using the oven. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, flipping the packs halfway through. Check for doneness by carefully opening one pack to ensure the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked to your liking.
- Remove the foil packs from the grill or oven and let them sit for a few minutes. Carefully unwrap the packs, being cautious of the steam. Serve directly in the foil or transfer to a plate, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Customize the vegetables based on your preferences; bell peppers, zucchini, or corn are great additions.
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños to the marinade.
- For a cheesy twist, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top during the last few minutes of cooking.
