- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and peel the apples, then core and slice them into 1/4-inch thick slices.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples and fresh raspberries.
- Add lemon juice, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Gently toss to coat the fruit evenly.
- Set the fruit mixture aside to let the flavors meld.
- In another mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Optionally, add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the fruit mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping generously over the fruit layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
- If the topping browns too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil for the last 10-15 minutes.
- Let the crumble cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
